The old nerd crew finally convinced me to play this with them. It's been fun but I'm intensely confused about the maps still and I haven't played a FPS for any length of time in probably ten years. So, recommend me some youtubers? I've been watching a few beginner videos by Get Flanked and I kinda like his style - calm, helpful, no sperging, just presenting his opinion. Who else should I watch for good beginner tips?

Varsitygaming if you can stomach literally no intonation whatsoever. He has pretty good siege school videos, and a solo ranked queue series where he talks out loud what he's trying to do and why so the watchers can follow his line of thought. That helped me a lot.

they redid some snow areas because claymores a while back but they have always gone through vents from what i've seen. you just have to make sure there's not like a random object blocking it. the mappers like to put a lot of random poo poo like diagonal books and dufflebags to break lines of sight

What are some ways to make the other game modes as balanced as Bomb? Maybe have the canister in secure area be destructible much like the hostage is killable by either side? I'm not sure how you'd fix hostage other than making a map basically from scratch to support it since there are quite a few maps that have the hostage very easily grabbed and then gone before defense can do much about it.

If everyone is roaming around the other side of the map it's not very surprising the attackers get an easy grab.
