Default Master+ speed is 8. Can't believe you people voluntarily play on faster than that.

The M+ map is full of excitement, but even at 8 it is also way too goddamn slow. I tend to prod M+ maps to 9. Old songs are at 8, unless they've got something I need more room to read to not end up doing backwards (like the 2-1-2 1-2-1 sections in Rin's song), in which case they're maybe an 8.5. Only stuff like Hanakanzashi tends to really need a 9. Although I guess a couple of songs are at like 8.3 or 8.8, because I guess rounding up makes more sense than rounding down, but I really do just want halfway between 8 and 8.5 or whatever… If there's too much stuff on screen, I can't read it and things go to hell, so I play rhythm games at a fairly fast note speed, if I can. Plus, being used to the quicker speeds, accidentally leaving something at the defaults puts me a beat or so ahead of the map unless I really concentrate, which is awful. There's no reason to ever concentrate that much on a goddamn debut song.

So, I think I just lost progress on a medley I just finished. The game locked up after retrying to connect to the server 3 times. I ended up having to force close the game. When it came back up, it was just at the normal start screen. Unfortunately, I don't remember how many points I had before this last medley, so I'm not sure if I got the points or not.

You probably got them. God knows that's happened to me plenty of times. If it crashes after an event but before the results screen, you will never see that results screen, which makes sense. Not sure what it would do if it crashed in the middle of a song, though…

Yeah, I don't disagree that 2 for Debut is near-unusable, it's just 8 isn't enough time to see what's coming up next, for me. Is there anything in your present box, and if not, is your score closer to the next present than you would have scored if it went through? If you were playing something that scores >250 points and your total score is <10000 you should be able to work it out from that.

Oh cool if it crashes in the middle of any song in a groove, you start again. Because playing tokimeki escalate once wasn't enough, I guess. :C I even quit the app after the song was done because it was getting chuggy.

Also I discovered I actually know the guy who tends to hold or fight over rank 1 on ENSIF. He assures me he'll only be top 10 this even cause tokens suck and he's gonna save gems to rank 1 the Honoka medfes in December.
