Pokemons game mechanics are kinda lovely but I like playing the games blind and discovering the new creatures like I'm some sorta preteen Darwin. I also like patting my pokemon on the head in X&Y and them following me in HG&SS. More Nintendogs mechanics would make pokemon better imo.
