Taking rights away from the Catalonians and Portuguese is a great way to get them to emigrate, too. Plus, you know, they'll revolt, which will cost us pops and manpower and money. Or we could just let them keep their rights.

Constantly killing your pops is really bad both morally and economically even in the actual game. It's an actual late game issue of constant fascist/communist rebellions basically draining the old world of all power. Sigh, our colonies were right to rebel. They're better off now that's for certain.

I defect to the Socialists because we don't have ranked choice even though I want to keep loving around in the third world and remain Imperialists. It's not going to make a difference but I've always voted for what I think would be most interesting to see and I don't really don't turtling very interesting. We need the industrial tech in theory but I'd rather we keep a proactive, risky foreign policy. Royalists.

I mean, he’s absolutely not wrong. The two most boring parties are duking it out over whether to turtle for a decade, or to do that while making the occasional diplomatic overture. I definitely didn’t want to vote Moderate, but at least they plan on interacting with the rest of the world

Socialists. The metropole won't run Angola in the interests of the natives any more than the Khedive will. The Khedive might be a bit more careful and work with the locals more if he's not getting a constant stream of young Andalusi men shuttled over to him to fill out his manpower pool, since the alternative is getting his head hacked off. I don't really see a single independent Andalusi Africa as plausible at this stage, it's noncontiguous and as likely to hold together as East and West Pakistan.
