It was a game where you could directly trade in game currency for cash and vice versa so people were flying around internet spaceships worth thousands of dollars. If your spaceship blew up, that was thousands of dollars gone in an instant. Goons in large numbers played to gently caress with others and in some cases lose thousands of dollars effectively gambling on a spaceship spreadsheet simulator. Goons losing insane amounts of money in stupid ways and forcing other people to do the same always tends to be entertaining. gently caress actually playing that game though, it looked boring as hell.
