Leave it to people in this comic to lose their damned minds over an incredibly tame gathering idea. It's not like Les suggested a dildo party. And I'm amazed this place is still in business if this is the first time it's occurred to them to rent out their stage to private and/or corporate events.

Judging by his storylines, I think he wholeheartedly believes in it.

It'd at least go a long way towards explaining why his views about sex and relationships are so hosed up.

Perhaps you have not been to the *Playground*.

It more fun than several.
You can go there for too much fun.
A little late to the Holbrook conversation but yeah, I'm not sure his stuff is often funny or clever but it sure is weird and something only he would write. Whether that's good or bad, I don't know in the end but I'll keep reading it. I legit like his overall drawing style though, weird mistakes and everything.

Any real person would just call it the Konami code, but no, Zakour thinks he has to show off his nerd cred and torpedo the joke by saying the whole sequence. "Konami code" is quick and to the point. You read it, you get it, you roll your eyes at the nerds and move on. Spelling out the whole sequence just makes you wonder how the hell this guy is supposed to have entered it into an ATM keypad.

It's infuriating because he thinks he has to explain the joke to people who don't get it, but he does so by explaining the wrong thing.

"See Roy, I told you entering the Konami Code wouldn't get you unlimited funds. The ATM is not Contra."

"I am a hideous manbaby."

It's probably because he changed newspapers at some point. The legal precedent was that the title stayed with the paper but otherwise the artist could roll as he or she pleased. It's the same reason Little Nemo turned into In The Land Of Wonderful Dreams.
