I still don't understand why Brooke draws women wearing either super-sexy clothing or the most modest clothing possible short of a burqa. There's literally no in-between.

Johnny Walker posted:Apartment 3-G An abusive husband will do that to you. Leave it to people in this comic to lose their damned minds over an incredibly tame gathering idea. It's not like Les suggested a dildo party. And I'm amazed this place is still in business if this is the first time it's occurred to them to rent out their stage to private and/or corporate events.

Regarding Brooke's clothes drawing preferences, he probably heard the Madonna and Whore concept and dove head first into it. As if it were a legitimate truth instead of a literary concept.

How do ya'll scan in stuff that is super big? Like, I got some old strips that are bigger than what my scanner can do in one go. Do two or three passes and use some program to stitch them together? What would I use?

A little late to the Holbrook conversation but yeah, I'm not sure his stuff is often funny or clever but it sure is weird and something only he would write. Whether that's good or bad, I don't know in the end but I'll keep reading it. I legit like his overall drawing style though, weird mistakes and everything. Any real person would just call it the Konami code, but no, Zakour thinks he has to show off his nerd cred and torpedo the joke by saying the whole sequence. "Konami code" is quick and to the point. You read it, you get it, you roll your eyes at the nerds and move on. Spelling out the whole sequence just makes you wonder how the hell this guy is supposed to have entered it into an ATM keypad.

Spelling out the whole sequence just makes you wonder how the hell this guy is supposed to have entered it into an ATM keypad. It's infuriating because he thinks he has to explain the joke to people who don't get it, but he does so by explaining the wrong thing. "See Roy, I told you entering the Konami Code wouldn't get you unlimited funds. The ATM is not Contra." "I am a hideous manbaby." Much better dialog.
