Always a strong possibility. The other trick I've heard is take your shovelware game, price it unreasonably high, and then mark it 80%-90% off on sales to try and get people who will reflexively buy anything that has a steep "discount".

If you don't buy it at that discount you're basically throwing the money away!

The first time I saw their work, I was inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt, because it didn't look horrible right away. I mean, it's a furry porn game, but the art looks decent, and nothing about the mechanics immediately jumped out as being atrocious, not that I could find much information on those.

What really annoys me is that I'd prefer to not have to turn that on, because I want to be able to look at any game on Steam. But because anything is allowed in the preview screenshots, I never know when I'm about to be assaulted with hardcore furry porn out of nowhere (and I literally have in my discovery queue before I turned the filter back on). And the system for viewing unfiltered results (without actually turning off the filter) is bad and buggy, and often just won't show any results like this:

This appeared when I chose "view unfiltered search results". The results actually do appear for a split second and then vanish.

If Steam would just allow adult games but with a rule that you can't show porn in the preview shots, I'd be fine. There already is a click-through age warning when you open the community screenshots, so if people want to see those, they could just go there. But no, anything goes, so you get explicit deep dicking on the store page.

But, yeah, I do wish checking the "new and trending" page were less likely to result in things like...this. I probably should just turn off the "show me Adult Games" setting, given the general quality levels going on.
