I assumed the price was high so they could run 90% off at sales, but that never happened. It does correctly model that the only inhabitants are white boys, future captains of industry making their way in this bold new frontier. The lack of women and children is undoubtedly a good thing.  Well this is an OSHA nightmare. Luckily there is no OSHA at sea. Not a handrail in sight. Random sections of open ocean between areas. I wonder if the game models how many drunks fall into the ocean each month? You know they're all drunk, because why would you live on a seastead if not to be blasted out of your mind on weasel dust all day?  Why are there lawns at sea? Maintaining a lawn is a terrible use of resources. And why are building made of brick? Is that a thing, if I visit an oil rig are the buildings all made of brick? I'm sure all the exposed wood will age very well exposed to salt spray all day. Why are all these young single men hanging lace granny curtains in their windows? It's almost like these art assets are lazy and generic, with nothing to do with the theme or setting.

Chemical makeup of the surroundings helps, usually as mentioned due to being hostile to organisms that would disturb the remains. Hence why bog mummies are things, but there's no freshwater creek mummies, the fish ate them.

The recent thing was Valve banning a group of curators (all actually run by one person) who were using the system to acquire free keys to resell https://www.nme.com/news/gaming-news/valve-bans-steam-curator-groups-identified-in-key-reselling-scam-3301436 But Valve only acted after the Brok dev made a big fuss on social media, the curators system is completely overrun with fraud at this point
