Please forgive me if this sounds like doomposting:

But what if he wins this case? What if the Jury decides that despite the paper trail that shows how he paid Cohen money to give to Ms. Daniels, and that he knew what it was for, and signed off on it etc. that despite all of that, Trump is innocent.

What then?

I just got home; had been in Wildwood since Thursday. Had my truck up on the boardwalk this morning, doing the car show with a couple of old friends:

They held us all up north of Morey's Pier (in the background). South of the pier they had a stage set-up on the beach about 100-yards towards the ocean from the boardwalk. Along about a 300-yard stretch of the boardwalk itself, set-up 8' high fencing covered in tarps:

https://i.imgur.com/qoorPjc.mp4

This was the crowd at 2PM

They had been coming in since noon. A lot of porta-potties. There were also two runs of fencing that ran from the boardwalk right down to the water, which is a good 250-yards. Yet there is a perfectly good Convention Center a few hundred yards south (we'll get back to that).

There were tons of MAGATs roaming town & the boardwalk, including a couple of flag-bedecked bro-trucks with extremely obnoxious horns. I gave them the finger whenever they hove into view.

Saw license plates from North Carolina and Missouri. Lots of New York tags. Most of the crowd on the boardwalk, though, looked like locals. There are only a couple areas of New Jersey that are majority red, and Cape May County is, unfortunately, one of them.

Also noticed a number of weird-looking people looking definitely out-of-place wearing well-cut suits. Got a real JW or Mormon vibe rather than Secret Service. Young Republicans, maybe? And pretty sure Scott Pressler was there: not too many 6'5" rail-thin pale fucks with long black hair dressed all in black hanging around GOP rally entrances. I wasn't stopping for a picture. The whole section of the boards there gave us the willies.

Every vendor was hawking merch for the event. There are a ton of T-shirt places, and like most of the businesses on the boardwalk before Memorial Day, they're usually all closed except a couple hopefuls. Not this day: every one was open and crap was being hawked everywhere. Some of this is because its red around here, but most of it was because, well, that's what beach resort T-shirt places do: They crank out what sells, and it's no secret that these rubes will spend freely. By the time the season officially starts after Memorial Day , I'll be surprised to see any of it except the odd shirt here & there.

I changed to a different shirt around 2PM, with this design:

The fascists were so out & proud I finally said, 'gently caress it." I hung out by my truck and...nothing happened.

Got back to the hotel around 4PM, and while waiting for the lemmings to pack the beach & clear the streets so I could head home, we shot the poo poo. This dude walking by us started a conversation about the car show & it turns out he was one of the guys putting up nearly a mile of fencing for this shindig. His company does a lot of business in Wildwood, including setting up chutes for the last rally here, which was held in the Convention Center.

Apparently the campaign wanted to have this rally there, but they left the Center in such a screwed-up state at the last one, they were banned from ever holding another one there. People were sleeping in the Convention Center, basically camping for days before that rally; they destroyed the bathrooms & left garbage & worse everywhere. That's why it was down on the beach.

He and his acolytes will be on a TOTAL EXONERATION tour for the remainder of the summer at least. They’ll repeat it so much that it will eventually be the only thing most non-terminally online people remember about the case and he’ll probably see a sizable bump in support as a result.

Dude--I am the furthest thing from a T-rump supporter. I think his idiocy is a threat to not only our country but to our allies and the world at large. He is a willfully ignorant charlatan, liar, and all around douchebag. I continue to be amazed and disgusted that he was the President and that he remains in the spotlight. He deserves to have a humiliating pants-making GBS threads stroke on national television, followed by a dumpster fire viking funeral fueled by rotten fish sandwiches.

None, actually. And we were looking.

Although there was this one MAGAT with a very good doggie (like a miniature German shepherd?) and douchnozzle was sporting a T-shirt that read "Even my dog hates Joe Biden" which was a lie since one look at this nifty pupper I knew he was a Good Boy.

Douchenozzle was not prepared to take care of his charge; as the tram car approached us from behind the dog was seized by the urge & squatted to drop a deuce. Rather than clean it up, the rear end in a top hat simply force-dragged the poor dog by the leash, on the collar (not a harness, so by the neck) off to the side. The tram car ran over the dogshit & smeared it for quite a distance. On the brand-new, rebuilt boardwalk.
