There are going to be 160m+ people voting in November. A subset of a subset of idiots could give trump a swing state or two because they haven’t been politically engaged since the early 1960s are and working off name recognition.

A 100k vote swing in a few states could have trump winning while biden wins by 10m nationwide.

if he got into the debates like ross perot did the main thing people would be talking about the next day would be how hosed his voice was.

Was talking to a buddy of mine who went to chiropractic school at Life University outside Atlanta. The year he graduated, they had RFK Jr. as the commencement speaker and he was annoyed but not surprised at how excited a bunch of anti-vax idiots were about it. He has a ton of stories about not being a moron but still going to chiropractic school which frankly are kinda banal now that we all kinda realize we live amongst the loudly stupid

He also did everything else at an extremely high level. He has had a regrettable life outside of football with cocaine addiction, and sexual assault charges leveled against him. He actually caused NFL coaches to more highly value tackle prospects, and add in some scheme changes like chip blocking.

He also broke a guy's leg on National TV so badly that the guy never played in the NFL again.

To be fair Thiesmann was 36 which is already the end of his career anyways. Maybe by todays standards it isn't old for a QB, but he lived in an era where LT could destroy a man's leg on live TV.

He was one of like three people in his whole class who constantly had to repeat the line in arguments: "We're not immunologists, this is not our wheelhouse."

EDIT: also he was finishing school during the pandemic so administration at that school was at a height of idiocracy

We all like to assume RFK Jr.'s handlers picked him to be the Biden spoiler because his name is Kennedy, he said something vaguely progressive about the environment or whatever, and maybe they went through a bunch of more realistic options who all told them to piss off, but I like to think someone down there saw the throat GOAT Obama meme, and decided that what the internet-savvy memester generation really wanted was a president with a goat throat.

You’ve also got people like my brother-in-law who won’t vote for Biden because “he’s old and stupid” and wasn’t aware Trump is the Republican nominee again because he “thought they turned against him after January.” When informed Trump was indeed running again and has near 100% of the GOP backing him, he came up with the clever solution of just not voting at all.
