Labs cards go for ~$150K on the flea market. I would say, save any valuable stuff you get until you reach level 5, and then make a habit of checking if an item is worth more on the flea (with listing fees included) vs. selling to vendors if you aren't sure. This is why people recommend getting to level 5 asap.
As to which items are valuable, someone posted a guide earlier, but you could always just ask in the discord.

Should be worth around 150k on the flea, definitely sell.

Escaped a scav run where my friend was blown to bits by a 2 PMC team. At the time I dropped my mag under a nearby corpse and was trying to get it so lay completely still, they come over and presumably try to loot me and get the empty corpse before getting bored and leaving. Made me think Tarkov could have a pickpocketing ability (press f when next to a living player and it will open their inventory) and that it would slap.

But, unless it's been changed, it insures stuff you don't even need to insure. I'm pretty sure it insures your weapon and secure container, which both cannot be dropped. I used to just go through and select the few items I wanted to actually insure.

It happens if you get disconnected from a server due to server issues and have your gear returned because of it. You'll get all of your gear back but it will all be uninsured, including valuable keytools etc. It happened to me twice this past weekend.

The problem with insure all is that if you have a gun that was previously insured and you swap sights or add a barrel attachment, the "insure all" won't be hip to your new mods and you'll have to individually insure each new piece. Worst of all, your gun will show as insured, so it wont even alert you that you have uninsured mods.

Does it mean something if I do some day trading for a while, take a break, then come back and every time I hit refresh, my day trade items are having countdowns before I can buy them? I read you're supposed to set your local clock forward to prevent that but the fact that it wasn't doing that while doing my usual trading, but is suddenly doing it now, makes me think they're trying to throttle heavy traders?

I'm just doing homework for a while tonight and am likely to be up later than I would choose due to a double whammy of adderall and coffee but will anyone bet up around/past midnight PST?

Oh I also had a really obvious cheater moment for the first time. I was trying to do a no backpack run on Reserve with my RB-TB key in the AK room and a dude kept throwing grenades at the wall I was next to (after I cowered in there for probably 15 minutes as I heard three gunfights in the rooms above, which apparently were all him) and jumped across the closed grate when I peeked then sidestepped RIDICULOUSLY FAST into the room after opening the door without a sound and blasted me immediately. He kept shooting at the wall I was next to before he attempted this, and did a bunch of USEC callouts to me while I lay motionless in the corner.

My only cheater experience (I think) but wow it was like... egregious.

Go insure a gun with a sight. Now take that sight off and put a new one on. The option to "insure all" won't be available (provided everything else is insured) because for whatever reason the game doesnt recognize mods being swapped and the new ones requiring insurance. It seems to just check that the receiver is insured, and if so, "off you go!" Note that you can still inspect the gun and insure mods individually, I just dont know wtf is up with their programming regarding "insure all."

This may have been fixed at some point, but this was my biggest problem with "insure all." That and spending some insane amount of roubles when I insure my keybar by accident......... twice (different keybars).

Every time this has happened, it's because the clock got out of sync for some reason. Exiting the game, syncing time manually via date/time options and then relaunching has always fixed it.

So that's why my FAL came back without the 50 round mag I found the raid before. I dumped it in a bush and thought it was weird that someone would take the mag and not the silenced FAL with a x1/x4 scope.

Cease fire! Hold your fire!!

I'm BEAR so uhhh... I don't think he speaks Russian. I just sat silently.

Then he lasered into the room with a wicked fast sidestep and spooked me so I shot and he just liquidated me instantly. Given he was throwing grenades at the wall next to me and knew where I was without ever actually seeing me... yeah I didn't trust him tbh.

This is completely false. How hard can it be to actually do the test you describe in your own post to see that it doesn't work as you would have us believe?

I just tested it right now with a basic M1A with a ps320 scope, insured all, backed out, swapped the scope, went back in. The left screen and the insured screen seem to indicate it's insured, and clicking the M1A did nothing, but clicking 'insure all' did select the new uninsured scope on the m1a.

side note, why the gently caress does the M-2 cost 250k to insure lul. wish i could select slots to 'never insure'.

Soo someone had a red rebel barter for a S I C C and a LedX (4.4mil total). I bought 1 of each, emptied my existing sicc because i wasn't sure which one was which, did the barter, but now I have a red rebel and 2 sicc cases.

where the gently caress did the spare sicc come from. Did someone list 2 for the price of 1 and I didn't notice?

meh whatever

edit: oh, I see. it took the one in my gamma but the display bugged out and made me think it was still there. good thing i emptied it.

also tried making a list for it for those barter items and it seems the list fee that way is only 200k rubles. lul. definitely keeping it tho.
