This is probably a stupid question but here it goes. I'm watching some Lamborghini series racing at Laguna Seca. If you put Logan or Stroll in one of these cars, would they just absolutely dunk on everyone else or are the margins in high level racing pretty flat near the top? IE they would barely eek out a win if they avoided binning it.

IE they would barely eek out a win if they avoided binning it. honestly despite the F1 binman status of drivers like stroll and sergeant, they would probably do pretty well racing GT cars. i don't think they would necessarily stomp the competition (maybe in some series they would), but they'd be much better than the average driver overall i think. i mean when you think about it, F1 driver is a job that has 20 openings. you have to be good to get even a season. i won't name any names, but even canadian muppet f1 drivers who have rich daddies still have to have some amount of skill.

Looking at the telemetry data it looks like Max got a sizeable tow from Hulkenberg. That's likely why he got pole.
