my cousins had an awesome indoor/outdoor cat who was the toughest motherfucker around but was also cuddly and playful as poo poo. he was probably something like 15+ years old, had one bad eye, and when he was in the room he let you hear it. seriously this cat never shut the gently caress up but he owned hardcore

then my aunt accidentally backed over him after he fell asleep under a car. the whole family was crushed :saddowns:

i'm terrified of this happening to my cats even though they never hang out near the car, which is why i always honk my horn before starting my car

one of the most traumatic episodes in the life of young rotor was when our cat crawled up into the engine compartment on a cold night and in the morning when we started the car, the fan blade decapitated her. we heard a weird noise and my mom was all "what was that? is this car broken again?" and we and got out and i saw the head under the car

RIP Jane the cat, at least you went quickly.

in all my years of running an esteemed cattery ive never seen an adult cat take to a little cat like that

but i think it's probably something to do with how young mr. kitten was when you adopted him, since apparently he was still drinkin formula

This is Boots, he's great. Apparently he's been pressing the base of his tail where it meets his back against warm car tailpipes now that the weather is getting cold (the hair there is light grey and kind of burnt). He's getting weird in his old age. Still playful though.

i lost one of my favorite cats in a terrible and stupid accident too (my younger sister's fault). you know those pictures of cats sleeping in a dryer on the nice warm clothes? let's just say those pictures are no longer cute to me.

she was such a good cat, too. she would jump into my arms from the floor, and was just the sweetest thing ever. she's the one i mentioned earlier itt who liked to drink wine and fight rattlesnakes

My cousin's cat jumped in the dryer. They found out about halfway through the cycle because of the noise. It burned his ears off, but he survived and was mostly fine after that.
