Totally got time for people who push the boundaries, but sometimes you can tell something isn't going to work without going ahead and building it anyway.

I don't like this from an aesthetic standpoint.

I do like it from the idea of passing a group of squids on the street on it, midway through a power wheeelie. Or using it like it should be, on a racetrack. Nothing they've done would compromise the core that is a S1000RR.

Their are a few gems of Keith showing off how talented and intelligent a writer he is in what is said, but what I noticed from it most is it really is spoken in the way that my mind thought whenever I would go on a longer motorcycle ride. Regardless its a fun watch.

Setting aside any :hurr: harley bullshit, I really enjoyed that. A different perspective on what makes riding worthwhile to people.

This is like the motorcycle version of my dream car, an Ariel Atom with a Dodge Aries body over it. Needs more tassels, maybe on the bars.

In the same vein as these silly crash vids, does anyone have a link to the vid of the 250cc class race where one guy comes around a corner and keeps turning into a bale of hay? I can't find it but it really needs a repost.

I loving despise this. The dude is in a brand new RF1100, full Alpinestars leathers, GP Pro's, and I didn't see his boots but I assume he had those too. That's a good ~$1000-$1200 in gear. And he wants to buy a loving brain bucket for his girlfriend? She had no gloves on in that video.

If I am ever temporarily riding with a passenger she gets all of my main gear. A/S Vector Jacket, GP Pro's, SMX2's/SMX+'s, and overpants. I'll wear old gear that is worn and/or doesn't fit for myself. I don't understand it at all. You're taking another person's life into your hands, and you want to loving skimp out on basic safety equipment? Retarded.

Sorry for the angry rant, but I have to deal with shitheads like this too often and it pisses me off because most of the time the poor girl doesn't even know what she's getting into.

Yeah that guys sucks. Unfortunately that poo poo is going to happen all the time. I've seen dudes in mostly full gear giving chicks in flip flops and crap that like a ride around town. Some of it is the guys fault of course because they're chodes, but then again some of it is the girls fault as well. I mean out our local hang out that everyone goes to at night, they have probably 10 or so chicks who drive up there and have just a helmet bumming rides of people. Dudes they don't even know. "Can I have a ride?? I CAN!! *SQUEE* LET ME GO GET MY HELMET" and they run to their car grab their bargin bin 40 dollar helmet that doesn't fit and hop on the back of whoevers bike that said they'd give them a ride.

There's a reason they have those extra helmets chilling off the back while riding around. "Bitch lids" :smug: But yeah, there was a whole bunch of "That's hosed up" in that video. Lucky that no one seemed seriously injured. lol was she wearing CE approved uggs? lmao.

Set it up right and it'll do a lot of good. New brakes, actual cartridge fork suspension, etc. Get it set up by a suspension tuner when it's all said and done though, or it'll suffer from the silver effect, which makes every suzuki in his proximity suck.

Yeah. Seems backwards. I mean, tassles on a BWM is actually a finely tuned form of german outrageousness that still kind of makes sense. It's hessian.

But the poo poo where the aerodynamic cowling is an erect neon cock doesn't do it for me.

it's just that i think those Japanese bikes have moved into an area of not really being concerned with aesthetics and just trying to be absurd, setting them apart and making them more unique than the BMW. Maybe not exactly art, but more creative.

Well, those are bosozoku (sp?) bikes, which was a 60-70 (if I remember right) movement in Japan. These bikes were intended to look completely absurd, and the guys riding them were the Hell's Angels of Japan, to make a fitting analogy. The bikes were made to shock, not to be pretty.

Let's be real, though: choppers are just as ridiculous as bosozoku. At least those bosozoku bikes could turn.

Cafe racers clearly win in the 1960s motorcycle subculture battle.

Up and down up and loving down. Loud enough to be heard from miles away echoing in the empty concrete canyons of the post 3am osaka infrastructure.

There's no trees on the streets. No planted hedge rows or sound blocking walls to contain the noise. It just bounces around in a lifeless echo chamber.

And every night, they did some loving 'song' with their revs. 'Bra nah nah bra nah nah nah nah brananana Braaah na na na'... repeat.

I'd rather hear about someone riding hooligan past kindergartens at recess while riding a harley 2 up naked than remember those fucks.
