I always wondered how kids reconciled a character they must picture as being like three feet high with the silent seven-foot monstrosity coming to hug them at Disney World. As a kid I was adamantly opposed to ever going to Toys R Us because I was terrified of rounding an aisle and meeting Geoffrey

BaronVonVaderham posted:Thanks for reminding me of the endless wankery in the D&D community a few months ago. For the uninitiated, just search "Tiddygate2021"...or not because it's exactly what you're picturing. This reminds me of one of my favorite bits of Elder Scrolls lore: why Argonians have boobs. The Argonians are the lizard people of the setting, and they worship the Hist, the sentient trees that created them. The Hist created the Argonians to protect them from the other mortal races, and did so by copying the other (warm blooded) races. Not understanding the purpose of boobs, being trees, they gave Argonians boobs because the other races had them. Speaking of the elder scrolls, this image has always reminded me of Vivec for some reason. I think it's because it has a similar art style to some of the morrowind concept art drawn by Kirkbride. Lizard tits would be improved if people also drew sick lizard abs. Almost anything can be improved by adding human musculature to it.

I still think it's a missed opportunity in Guild Wars 2 that when felines wear tiddy-wizard outfits it doesn't give them three bodices instead of one. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Winged_armor#Charr E: and if you thought snakes with boobs was weird, here we have plants with boobs. EE: or this one, which at least looks similar on men as on women https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Feathered_armor#Charr Hyperlynx has a new favorite as of 06:23 on Jun 8, 2021 |

Ages ago while playing guild wars 1 I randomly typed into town chat "Are charr mammals? How many nipples do they have?" Then I went to make dinner. When I came back people were still talking about it. There were people with, like, researched, source-citing lines of argument. Like, I was trying to stir up poo poo, but I was not prepared for the level of response. A while later--months--I found a Q/A session where someone asked the devs to settle the question, at which point it was entered into canon that charr in fact have six.
