I can't think of anything in the original series run that contradicts the idea of God Ki, outside of Goku needing ki to lock onto to teleport to Kaio's place. Although the rules of that ability seem washy anyways. Maybe he locks on to Bubbles' ki?

I think having God Ki doesn't mean you can't have some regular Ki too? Its just you can't tell how powerful a god is because you can't sense the God Ki part, but you can still sense that they are there and alive etc. I mean Goku/Vegita have both kinds of Ki, right?

King Kai has done more to protect the universe than any of the Kaioshin just by virtue of being the one who trained Goku to punch things better.
