To remaster Hexen 2 just up the bsp limits and put all the levels of one hub in the same map so level transitions are just walking through a corridor. Then you can do quality of life stuff like showing the effects of your actions, and you’re rid of the loading screens. If things don’t match up 100% spatially just build in some cool Fancy Corridor. Some level transitions are teleports, so that’s nice. The Egypt hub uses time travel so that’s a problem, but the entire Egypt hub is garbage anyway, so just delete it. That’s a straight up +25 metacritic if you delete the Egypt hub. You should also delete all the jaguar men from the Aztec hub, but then there’s no gameplay left there, so you might as well delete that hub too. It’s so ugly, please delete it. Another easy win is to delete all the stupid golems, and also the player weapons because they’re all bad. Best would be to not remaster Hexen 2 at all of course, and maybe even create a virus that erases hexen2.exe from every harddrive in existence. Just my hexen2 cents.

Finally got around to releasing my Doom mod, Gun Bonsai! Level up your weapons and staple a variety of fun and exciting upgrades to them. Designed for maximum compatibility, you can pair it with almost any other mod or TC -- I've been playing Ashes 2063/Afterglow with it, and a lot of my testing was done with MetaDoom. I'm not going to recap the whole release notes here, but if that sounds interesting you can pick it up (and watch some videos of it in action) in the zdoom forums thread.
