Why do people love to hate on mimes (in the 90s this was a popular joke)? I've never seen them perform in the street in my town, but they seem no more offensive than the typical street performer.

So what exactly is a hotline projection. I've seen it playing around in ArcGIS and have done some googling and can't seem to find out what type of projection it is. Assuming Northern Hempisphere (if that matters) where does it project from? Is it equal area, equidistant, etc? I think it's a cool looking projection, but I can't seem to find any useful info on it.

Are there "tests" or exercises I can do to see if i'm maintaining a proper posture throughout the day? If your daily life (job/school/whatever) requires that you remain on the same position for hours (office job, factory) you can pretty much gauge your improvements by how much pain you feel during the day. If none at all, then you are good, otherwise you might want to check your doctor again. I had back pain issues for many many years and what helped me the most was exercises to develop back and shoulder muscles. That way I can remain on an upright proper position for longer periods, which leads to less/no pain.

I'd like a rug for my hallway, which is quite small and a very odd shape. Ideally I'd like it to fit like a carpet, but over the top of the laminate flooring and held down with that sticky rug-fixing stuff. I'm renting and I can't actually change the flooring - so if I got a custom-shaped rug or piece of carpet, would taping it down work without wrecking the floor?

I want to find a therapist. Is there a large importance in choosing the right one? And how do I decide the right therapist to go to? Google led me here where I could search for nearby therapists by zip code. I contacted both of them and gotten answers within a few days. My insurance company also has a "Find a doctor" thing that I'm not too familiar with that should help me find one. Is there a suggested way to go about this? Or am I on the right path?

I don't know where you live but make sure it's not a Christian who stealthy tries to push their beliefs on you. That happened to me once and it was a waste of my $200. It's pretty important that you get someone that you're comfortable talking with, otherwise you won't progress anywhere. Which is good for the therapist money wise, but not you.

When you're in the hospital, in pain, and looking forward to beef bouillion and Jello, you don't want pornos, and as noted above, pornos will creep out the nursing staff. What you want is trashy dumb stuff to take your mind off things; this is why the hospital TV in the rooms always seems set to "Wheel of Fortune" as the default. I'd get him a carefully chosen collection of trashy dumb stuff DVDs; a good place to look is in the Wal-Mart $5 bin. Adam Sandler, Vince Vaughn, bromance, rom-com, Jason Statham, old James Bond, Fred Astaire, Westerns you never heard of, direct-to-video sci-fi. He won't remember any of it later, but it will help the long, long hospital minutes to pass. Or, alternatively, a complete box set of your choice of TV series of something he's been meaning to catch up on. If he's had The Sopranos or Boardwalk Empire on his to-do list, now's the time. Many hospitals have free wi-fi now. Make sure he has a wi-fi ready laptop.

I shipped an item off to Berlin, Germany on September 2nd and the buyer still hasn't received it as of today, September 20th. The last update to the package was September 12th and the status for it says "Addressee requests own pick-up - Item being held, addressee being notified". What the hell is going on? If the addressee requested a pick up, I'm certain he would have picked it up by now. Should I be worried?

Someone mentioned it in conversation a few times and I thought they were saying "farming" industry, but only because it's more familiar to me. If you hear something unfamiliar, but close to another word then you may think it's just the other word. Like "surficial" for example. Did you mean superficial? No.

With a password protector program, where you basically have one master password that unlocks all your other passwords, how is the master password kept safe? I know this seems like a dumb question, but it seems like it would be easier for someone to hack your one master password and then have access to everything, than to crack each individual password.

So assuming you think therapy will help, it probably doesn't matter who you pick as long as the therapist doesn't piss you off or otherwise offend you in a way that will interfere with the therapy. Since objective ratings are impossible, you'll have to revert to trial and error; this response is pretty dead on: Thank you, I made an appointment tomorrow to see a therapist that was close by and within my budget.

I know this seems like a dumb question, but it seems like it would be easier for someone to hack your one master password and then have access to everything, than to crack each individual password. Primarily, all of the encrypted passwords are stored on your PC - "hackers" have less access to your physical system than, say, Gmail, where they can plug away with dictionary guesses all day. And even if "hackers" did get access to your PC, they'd have to know which file contains your passwords, and what algorithm to use to try to crack it. (Which means that it is very difficult to do automatically, and will probably require an actual person's attention.) Additionally, the encryption system used by PasswordSafe is designed to be highest security, where you don't know what each individual website is doing with your password. If you choose a solid 8-character password for a PasswordSafe, the brute-force time-to-hack jumps up into the decades timeframe, by which point your passwords are probably going to be pretty useless. The biggest benefit that such systems give you is that you only have to remember one password, so you can make it a good one. Then you can use unique 10-digit alphanumeric nonsense on every other service that is immune to a dictionary attack, and is (somewhat) resistant to a rainbow attack.
