tau posted:Another from the Nelson. I cropped it, but I'm not sure if it's better cropped or uncropped. If cropped, I think you get more focused on the detail on the columns, which I like. But I also like the columns looking longer and bigger in the uncropped version. I prefer uncropped if given the choice.

I like it cropped. Either way, it's a weirdly jarring perspective and I like it.

indigoe posted:Taking photos again. Any feedback appreciated. What do you think about cropping down some on this one? It's very busy. The shore and trees nicely circle back on the left and frame the picture, but then the lighting almost completely counteracts it. The tree on the right frames it too, but then you have that bright spot of yellow leaves right in the middle of it. I'm just not sure what the picture is really trying to do/show. That yellow/tan color is a great shade to be complimented by that blue sky, but that is also a lot of empty sky with nothing going on in it once you get above the hills and clouds.

I also toned down the HDRishness, it had -100 highlights +100 shadows, now corrected. This one could go in several threads, a night time long exposure panorama of Queenstown.

Looks a lot better now imo, maybe a bit too yellow but that might just be the plants.

Nice. It would get a 10/10 if more windows had interesting characters doing interesting things in them. Staging this is an option.
