I love that Detroit renounced KCP right as Brooklyn's cap space is tied up for 6 full days. They cannot credibly offer KCP & his agent the max on the 1% chance the Wizards fail to match Porter's sheet. Brooklyn finally has the chance to wildly throw a max at an unrestricted wing but they've been foiled by their own lust for restricted free agents. Shame, Sean Marks. Shame.

I actually love this move. SO MANY TEAMS get caught up in frantically maxing or matching B- to B+ players and end up regretting it a year or two later. They knew he wasn't that good so they signed 85% of his production for a fraction of the price in Langston Galloway. Good on the Pistons. Let someone else have Kentavious Caldwell-Goddamn-Pope take up like a fifth of their cap. (they will sign Avery Bradley to a max next year I'm sure.)

Avery Bradley does everything KCP does except better and more consistently. Marcus was the worse Morris brother in Phoenix but was way better than Markieff in 15-16. He regressed last year but so did the entire team. He's decent at everything and not great at anything except mid-range shooting.
