I feel like Thexus is kind of broken in spread the net scenario. Like, the ambush drudge unit essentially threatens 15" on from either side, then his feat / tk means clearing a zone is trivial. Overlords basically ignore terrain and can just put pow 12 sprays anywhere or contest anywhere as they're needed. I often feel like I can't really lose going into it.

Do yourself a huge favour and take eliminators as your mercenary option in that vlad2 list!!

Also i've tried a whole bunch to get drago to work but he is completely unplayable. He's a DEF stacker that caps out at def 17 but lacks the pathfinder (and the SPD) to actually use terrain. Garbage armor, poor pow, etc. Poor drago :(

This is wrong, apparently! You can only take a single mercenary unit, even if it's FA2. warroom is bugged.

Mortality means Posse can can clear off champs if they can get the 8 (good things I got rerolls) and at PS 13 they should be able to kill them in one hit most of the time.

The Husks spray PoW 14, so no boost but lots of damage.

With Shrine and souls I get lots of options to get all my spells out.

Might give up a husk and a chef from another croc doc.

This is our last dance!
Quick advice needed:

I'm looking to *locally* sell the Menoth half of the MkII 2-player starter. Cinerator and light 'jack are unopened and I don't think that I've opened the other heavy one. Kreoss and the other heavy are opened but aren't assembled and nothing is painted, but the 'jack has some holes drilled for magnet pinning. What would be a fair price for these? $60?

60 is probably fine to ask but if someone offers 50 just take it.

Hey seriously if you wanna improve your time management on the clock just play timed turns when you practice. You don't even have to be strict about it, just take note of how often/how much you go over your turn limit

I always assumed timed turns would be more stressful, so I didn't bother because I only play casually. Turns out, weirdly, the opposite is true. You get forced to commit to a line much quicker, rather than stressing over every possible play, which ends up actually taking a lot of stress out of it. It makes you prepare more mentally in your downtime (learn your stats cold, plan during your opponents turn more, know your enemy etc) rather than asking your opponent / checking during the game, which just makes everything smoother.

It also means you know when the game will have ended for sure, so you can plan multiple games with multiple opponents. And honestly, you probably won't time out, I play Exulon Thexus with his millions of control options and millions of drudges, and I don't know what any of my opponents stuff does ever, and I've found I don't time out any more.

Death clock is better than timed turns, but timed turns is the best way to get good at death clock.

We usually play without clock in our club, and it's maddening. We meet at 5pm, so getting two games in should be reasonable.

It's about 17:45 until the tables are set, everyone's unpacked and ready to go. Now games take up to 3 hours since some of the guys take their sweet-rear end time. At almost 9, noone wants to start another round and just heads home. With clock, first rounds would be done around 8, plenty time to get a second game in.

We sometimes play on the clock, but most of the time people keep bringing their off-factions or new lists to test and want to do so without the added pressure, and since we're a chill group, that's fine. But I think I'll start letting the clock run even if we don't play on clock, just so people are aware of their time management.
