Full Leather Jacket is one of my favorite albums period, but imo some of their best tunes are Genuine Whiskey Man, Test Tube Teens, and Tuff Guy

I'm not complaining about punk being punk, but I'm curious, are there any punk bands with singers with technically good voices?

Gargling a mouth full of thumbtacks and slurring over every other syllable isn't really the definition of technically good singing.

its a joke friend

for a serious answer i'll go with greg graffin of bad religion, he doesn't have a ton of range but i think his voice has a nice tone to it and he has good pitch. i think his singing talent comes out a lot more in his solo folk stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8JkNf1_Ol8

edit: oh also, dave hause of the loved ones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XSJDxxtgME

All the punk/emo/hardcore I listen to is from the early 2000s, but I want to put together a new running playlist and find new music. Help!

I like stuff like letlive, pageninetynine, set your goals, hot water music, waterdown, samiam, most precious blood, snapcase, daggermouth... basically that’s the kind of stuff on my current running playlist. Is there anything recent that’s as good? Would be eternally grateful for a Spotify playlist :)

There’s a new Glassjaw album that’s really good (and a new Hot Water Music which I haven’t listened to).

Some stuff from the past few years:
Propagandhi - Victory Lap
Dangers - The Bend in the Break
Ghostlimb - Difficult Loves
Muck - Your Joyous Future
Palm Reader - Beside the Ones We Love
White Lung - Deep Fantasy
United Nations - The Next Four Years
Bane - Don’t Wait Up
Manners - Pale Blue Light
La Armada - Crisis EP

Besides a couple of EPs they really haven’t done anything since then. This was supposed to be a surprise release yesterday but it got botched by their label or Amazon or something.

How come emo bands write all this intricate rear end guitar interplay and poo poo and then let their singer lisp all over it like a puss boy. If I was in an emo band you better believve the singer is gonna button that lip and just sit there like a pudgy dickhead

cause the kids who can sing without lisps are too busy having their musical tastes ruined by the weirdo chorus teachers who love broadway musicals
