Of course you would.

That's delightful, but is there an episode where May makes the vodka?

What a great episode. The celebrity section was decent, and no stupid "I've come up with a brilliant innovation" like they kept doing last season.

The bits came across as a little too scripted, but that has always been an issue. I loved the format for the guest stars. A rwd f-type is perfect for that course.
The main segment was great, and I was on the edge of my seat for the crash, even though I knew it was coming. The fact that they did no commentary during it was epic.
Also, Jeremy eating that sausage made me uncomfortable. Ketchup, really?

Its kinda interesting to me that despite debuting a new track and making several YouTube videos about it, they did not have or even mention a hot lap/test driver. I wonder if that is just not going to be a thing this season.

Without having seen the episode yet, why not? The Stig was The Stig, you can't just reinvent it. And since you can't, just leave it, do something else entirely, play around, see what happens.

I'm not clamoring for one, it's just unusual not to have one. Especially when the whole show was about comparing supercars and such. Maybe they figured since now they are doing two celebrity laps a week having a hotlap segment as well would be too much track time. Also maybe the new track is hard to do test laps on because it's part dirt? Who can say.

I'm fine if it doesn't come back because it's a case of top trumps that has lost all meaning. Hypercars are so drat fast now, it's almost silly to compare them on performance anymore since the human margin of error is so much bigger than the difference between these cars.

I think they were even making a sideways reference to that when they were complaining that Hammond's daily trips weren't doing anything to compare performance.

what?
Agreed, IMO the main feature was up there in the top 10% of what those three have done together and otherwise the changes to the format work. I'd be a little bit disappointed to not see some kind of racing driver hot lap return, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't.

Hammond crashing a supercar every week is going to get a bit expensive, though.
