4 is worth going through once out of morbid curiosity (it's possible to brick a cart if you trade), 5 should only be played as DTDS and that's only if you ignore the voices

 I laugh at anyone who didn't manage to sneak it all out while the old man was distracted. It's impossible to sell it all, you get half that much in pre-war money if you cash in all the chips you pick up along the way, it's kind of tedious trying to sneak out without the forcefield triggering, and of course you won't need caps as much now that you've got a steady stream of chips you can turn into stims and repair kits, but it's the principle of the thing. Bad enough they split the Navi summons between two games, you can't even get all the ones in your version on a single playthrough.
