I was like, how hard could it be? Turns out, harder than it seems. Photoshop can be told to keep things nice and blocky but after effects still wants to do messed up things to it. Best method I found was scaling it up 1600%, then rendering the frames as a QuickTime video from photoshop, uncompressed/raw, then importing the videos into AE and copying the position data from the existing objects. I tried to pull tracking data off a clip of MM play but the results were mixed, ultimately I think it's pretty close though. It was good fun. The last hour, in preview mode the animation of you porting out was off perfect but the rendered video (and subsequent gif) had a tiny jump by one pixel before it teleported away, was driving me nuts as no matter how I adjusted it it kept lbeing off, but eventually I fixed it changing the anchor point, dunno why that made a difference to the final render. |

I would love to have a fall sig to complete my entry into the cool and good community of yobbers. I throw myself upon the creative mercy of those with more art talent than me. Given my food-based forums name, perhaps a bacon taco next to a Thanksgiving turkey, or lying on a pile of leaves, would be nice. Or, really, anything. All of the ones I've seen in this thread are badass and I would love to have any of them.
