I mean, if you want to read the verbatim...

quote:

Well, anyway, if you want to understand Q, you need to read Q, not the people who have a vested interest in discrediting him (or them) (or us). Principally, remember that the Q phenomenon is entirely public. You can read the Q posts at qanon.pub or any of several other sites. Conspiracy means whispering together. Totally public!
When you see a Q post, there are various numbers -- ID's and stuff at the top. Looking at, say post # 2396 (about the 4th post down, today with a black #2396) if you click on the long number 3714939 it will take you to that post on 8-chan, on the qresearch board. There, you will see all the posts by other anonymous people. Many are from people who like Q and are researching what he has to say. Some are from people who hate Q. It's a free-speech board, after all. And some are just pretty girls. What can I say?
But it's a very interesting place because of the research. I am glad one of your brothers explained kek to me, and also Pepe; I would not have figured that out.
So it's not a conspiracy in the sense of being secret whatsoever. And it's not about Trump being a genius. He's very smart, but he'd be nowhere except for the people who ... ok, this part was a secret, but it's been in the open for a year. Long story.
So why don't you know it? Because...
I can't explain in ten minutes. But I can say this: If you go to qanon.pub, you can find the first post. Somewhere, there should be an arrow that lets you re-sort the posts to give you #1 at the top. From here, you will see that many posts have a little box that says "answers." In these cases, we are pretty sure what the rather cryptic message means. So you can get an idea of the whole thing starting there; especially, you can get an idea of the start.
Alternatively, you can go to the top of the research board and find a section of "Notables" and there you will find an interesting topic to pursue such as "Q the basics" but many other things.
You don't have to sign in to read the board; only to post on it.

I have never been so fascinated as by this whole operation, and it's clear from the occasional close parallel between Trump's tweets and the Q posts that Q is in close contact with the President. In fact, we think that Q posts come from one of a few people, and Q+ is Trump. But never mind that. I only want to defend myself: I have not lost my mind! And I am not huddled with weirdos.

Some people say I am a terrible person.
My dad posts the worst of the worst "Trump is like today's Jesus" images.

Mom posts a lot of right wing stuff, and parrots, lots and lots of parrots.

Occasionally one of them will post something very stupid, like "OBAMA APOLOGIZES TO JAPAN FOR THE US NUKING THEM IN WWII", "PRIVATIZE ALL OF OUR WATER SYSTEMS", "GIVE EVERYONE OVER 50 $1,000,000". When I comment about how silly/stupid/wrong they are, they get really angry.

being a 90s internet kid makes you weirdly prescient about certain ways of thinking and talking that have just now taken over mainstream culture. i played a lot of mmos up through early to mid era world of warcraft. i eventually decided the whole popular mere-driven popular 'internet culture' that grew up around them was narrow and stupid and self-diminishing. now everyone on twitter, facebook, etc., thinks and talks exactly like people in mmos from the 90s and early 00s, complete with 'epic fails' and 'owning' various people.

When I was young, nothing was on tv from 12-6am (CNN supposedly ran but I never watched it). In the late 90s, there were a few channels that had 24 hours of programming. Then it exploded almost solely because of the internet. Being saturated with media was new and experiencing it was a relatively slow process for those of us watching things unfold. How would someone born, say, during the Iraq War (the second one) understand how much things can change in so short a time? It calls a lot of things in to question about your place in the world, that's for sure.

All I can think of is having one's parents posting on Facebook about them and wanting to change names and move to another town. gently caress, having to go to church can be Big Brotherly enough. Holy poo poo, fighting with people over the internet used to be viewed as loving lame (so did online dating but, eh) but now you've got to tell off uncle Dan because he's a gun nut and racist. And he's like "wipe the facepaint off, goth boy"

I'm mad just thinking about it.

Gen Z is hosed. I feel bad for kids who are 8, 9, and 10 years old who have youtube and twitter accounts. They were practically born into socially acceptable mental illness and it's going to diminish their livelihoods down the line.

How much do I cum? The answer might surprise you!

I pretty much only use my facebook to share photos I've taken, it's a easy way to post photos of people having fun doing things they like to do. But it gets eaten up by the feed really fast so if it isn't tagged to a person it's basically gone in a day. Photography is a weird one too these days for a thousand reasons.

The democratization of photography, that everyone has a camera, is good. But it started when DSLRs like the Rebel came out and everone got one. Now apparently just by owning a camera you start putting borders and watermarks on your hack trash. This trend has thankfully backed off a lot. Now that everyone has a pretty capable camera in their pocket and post poo poo loads of photos the people who spend the extra effort standout. But since fresh content is king you can take the best photo ever but it's 15 seconds of fame.

I'd say the larger trend is for the desire for immediate gratification and even though communication is lightspeed these days the desire is not often matched by reality but continues to be a propped up like it was digested and understood. There is a massive daily cognitice dissonance going on on all levels of culture where people just fool themselves into quantity over quality. There is too much media to consume and just pretending like you get it is the way to go.
