If nothing else, it shows just how challenging it is to make a decent wax figure. I once did some wax work, trying to do a bronze sculpture that would have been a recognizable human head. It ended up looking more like a shaved baboon that got punched in the nose.

I'm particularly enthralled with the craftsmanship of noses on humanoid wax renditions, for some reason. Perhaps it's because a convincing nose is the deciding factor between the uncanny valley and a canyon.
