I'll advance one via Initiation, pull him to nowhere in particular, then end up right back where I started.

Huh. The only things I know about this game are what I've been able to glean from watching the threads play out, but being able to submit a -1 style to get around counter seems kinda silly to me.

I was honestly thinking the same thing, and I think I'll bust out my copy in a moment to double-check the wording on Counter just to be sure it's all there. e: Aaaand it is. Baron Fuzzlewhack fucked around with this message at 20:29 on May 30, 2014 |

Good game. I'd never faced Eligor before and I gotta say he's pretty frustrating. He doesn't have a lot of tricks, but it really felt like he took away a lot of my tricks by just not caring about half the stuff I could do. I said at the start of the match that my best assets were cowardice and skullduggery, but it quickly became apparent that Eligor is incredibly good at punishing that sort of tactic. I had to get in your face and trade with you...which was honestly pretty terrifying! There were a couple times I was convinced I was going to eat a hit for like 7 damage, but I just soldiered on because it'd make me money.

That's true. And I'm sure, if I were any good at this game, you'd have had a decent challenge. Gerard is really cool, especially since he's so adaptable. He's got ranged stuff, close stuff, mid-stuff, and yet it all seems to work. I know it got me all confused because I could never decide what to do. If I get in close, is that exactly what he wants? Or does he want me to stay long-range so he can Hook me? (I got blindsided an awful lot in this game, as might be apparent.)
