To be fair there are far worse places to die.

I'm not really sure why John Romero was driving a minivan but maybe it's like a like Keanu Reeves thing and he chose to lead an austere private life. Clearly we can conclude that minivans are not fit to be driven by anyone.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected in having been a contributing factor in this case.
