Fair enough. I'd like to add that I don't consider myself better or more deserving of being spared than anybody else. If the impression was that I wanted to sit in a garden drinking wine while people were dying, let me say that's not the case. It's pretty much a non-starter no matter what because nobody wants genocide (especially on such a large scale that the survivors would probably be...well, "depressed" seems like an insufficient word). My statement was pretty much just my ideal: fewer people, fewer problems. But like you say, there's really no way to cull ourselves that's moral and fair so we have to let nature do the culling for us. Which is also going to suck bigtime.
