Most of the first round was a little rough but then it just became an incredible joy to watch from that point to the finish.

This KO needs a "most joyless victory" award. The look on Shevchenko's coach's face after Jessica was nearly murdered on live tv was almost that of disgust for the sport. I've never seen anything like that before.

Worst Event of the Year: Bellator 223 Mousasi vs Lovato
Only way to watch the card was via their phone app. It barely worked longer than 30 seconds at a time and streamed in potato quality. After the prelims it went on tape delay only hour or 2 to come back live for the last 3 fights of the main card back on their lovely app. Seriously, gently caress you Bellator.

Honourable Mention Fight of the Year: Ross Houston vs Nicholas Dalby Cage Warriors 106. Go watch this fight. This is an MMA Unicorn. Goddard stops the fight at 2-3:06 because there was too much blood in the ring. The fighters were slipping like a baby deer on ice, but it's blood:

He�s right about it being the refs job but those follow up punches are from the same school as Hendo�s follow up punches on Bisping
