Saison Dupont on draft is rare and incredible. Ashleys in Ann Arbor Michigan used to have it on occasion but would sell out pretty quickly. Its like springtime in a glass.

Ciders can be great, as long as you manage to dodge the overly sweet ones.

Norway has had an explosion of them recently - we grow a lot of apples, but until recently getting a license to brew and sell alcohol was a massive undertaking. I'm planning to try and taste my way through them sometime soon.

VB off the tap in a local pub is really OK, if you balk at $8.90 for a decent Young Henrys then get ready to go to Aldi.

Bells Two Hearted is such a great beer.

I'm a big fan of Uerige Alt and Bitburger too. My favorite Alt is the Alt I brew, because Uerige is quite expensive on a per beer basis and the who point is to keep drinking it. Ditto with Berliner Weiss, another underappreciated style.

I love anything by Cantillon. I used to drink a lot of sour beers before they became a fad/other people discovered how awesome they are and now they are incredibly hard to find. American sours are generally not very good because they lack balance. La Folie was good before they started pasteurizing it.

When I was living with a vegan, rauchbeers were an amazing replacement for bacon.

Lately I've been drinking a lot of saisons (DuPont 5 eva!). Another style that isn't that difficult to make but for whatever reason American breweries keep loving it up. Stick with the Belgian ones. And of course IPAs. Lots of IPAs. But that's the "free" space on the beer list.
