Yo!
In 1997 I went to a Warped tour and it was the first and only time I "saw" Limp Bizkit.

Got Steve Cabelro's autograph, though.

OK so it was the final Warped Tour (though there may be a few more dates).

I rally didn't like any band except Senses Fail, and luckily they played like for songs off their debut EP (which I loved and remembered a lot of the words to!)

The rest of the lineup was too heavy for me - Chelsea Grin and Unearth were basically inaudible.

I went in 2002 only. I do remember seeing NOFX and Anti-Flag, and maybe Bad Religion? I don't really remember anything else. That was the first year Warped Tour even came to my state.

Some decent bands beyond the ones you mentioned - I'd go and see The Damned, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Casualties (they played in Aarschot once so I actually have seen them), The Unseen, Tsunami Bomb, The Planet Smashers, Rx Bandits,...

All bands I liked when I was 16, and honestly, I still do.

With the exception of ETID and a couple others, I didn't love this year's lineup at Warped, but I wasn't gonna miss the last year it's touring.

Just went to check it...I guess I'd dig Pennywise, Reel Big Fish, Authority Zero, maybe Less Than Jake, and uh, that's it. Most I just don't know. Twiztid appears to be a knockoff ICP, judging by the picture.

2002 was my first and last Warped Tour, too. I also remember seeing NOFX (I heard they suck live, they absolutely did), Anti-Flag, and Flogging Molly. Propagandhi was my favorite band back then (and still are, I guess. They've earned it.), so I was bummed that they weren't on the lineup. I figured out why pretty quickly, and came to appreciate Back to the Motor League a whole lot more after that day.

I really liked Anti-Flag back in the day, despite Justin Sane's somewhat whiny vocals and lyrics. Still relisten to them from time to time, they were good.

thrice at warped one summer playing only poo poo from their first three albums was a 10/10 part of my youth, there were some other good bands (largely poo poo tbh) but nothing quite like dudes beating the poo poo out of each other during deadbolt

I used to film shows, and when Anti Flag played one of their guys shut me down over it. I put the camera down and he laughed at me and told me to go ahead. Seemed like good guys, and a New Kind of Army was always fun (and something I’ve not listened to in years, I should change that).

Yeah, they come across that way. Their lyrics were very much the nineties version of babby's first political consciousness, but they were so earnest and good-natured about it I never minded.

At Warped in 2002, one of the members of Thrice was handing out free copies of Illusion of Safety at the exit gate desperately begging people to listen to it. I still have it somewhere in my collection, still shrinkwrapped.

The really fun part of going through old warped tour lists is seeing the bands who played the locals stages and being amazed at who you've heard of and who is still around

My favorite one was the hippos

Their first record was great. I can’t remember if we got into them because we saw them play locally, or if someone just passed a CD around but it’s a fun time album for sure.

They’re still quite fun to watch I saw them at a Euro-fest called Mighty Sounds and had a great time.

I hope they did a whole album with Sonny and this and Make War from last year aren't the only songs from their sessions together.

Yeah i usually start my day with this new song but i never listened to them back in the day. does any of their older music have this melodic level of pep to it? I usually listen 3-5 times before i gotta do something else, would love a few more like this.

I didn't even like From First To Last when I was their demographic but this song came up on my Discover playlist for this week and I've listened to it like five times and I think I hate myself.

The first time I saw Thrice was at Warped Tour and they got about 3 songs into their set and there was a lightening strike and they had to run off stage but told everyone they'd be back but it rained so long they didn't get to come back :(

It was also the first time I got to see Dillinger Escape Plan because everyone ran under the ampitheater to get out of the rain and it was amazing to see a bunch of 14 year olds go from Simple Plan to Baby's First Coffin.

That was pretty drat good for new Alk3 and I am that much more excited to see them in October. Although I kind of want to see them play with Blink-182 at some point and watch Matt exhaust himself.

Saw them on Thursday and the set list was amazing, new songs sound good. I'm hoping Matt's time with Blink means Dan has taken over more songwriting duties because he's exponentially outpaced Skiba as a songwriter since Good Mourning.

Better late than never, friend tipped I might like Fall of Efrafa's three album trilogy (Owsla, Elil, Inlé) and turns out I really do. Owsla in particular with its crustier sound (which also reminded me to play Catharsis' Passion and Samsara again after a while), but there's a lot to chew on on all of the albums. Probably will have to check out some of the related projects like Light Bearer after that.

The Full Collapse and War All The Time shows in Chicago a few months back loving ruled, you should have a good time. Also I think Anthony Green is opening for them for these shows which adds an extra layer of awesome.
