Has anyone here experimented with Kiwi? My grandmother uses it to tenderize beef very very quickly, perhaps 2 minutes. Any longer and it doesn't hold together. I'm wondering if there could be a way to apply it to steak, despite cuts usually being much thicker than Korean beef (Bulgogi)

Kiwi is a lot like pineapple and papaya in that it has an enzyme that breaks down proteins. (That's why people on pineapple farms have hosed up hands.) But like any other marinade, it only really hits the outside of it, unless you're using syringes to inject it inside the meat.

I like to do it proper and provide the ride home, basically a blops at both ends of the trip. I lurk on comms and mostly post itt during ops. Another issue was Blops vs cyno balance and I think I have that figured out too. Not pictured is another main (and account) with a cloaky hauler to ferry topes, though I haven't run into a fleet so big that I didn't have enough in cargo. The last time I've put all my mains to work at full clip was 2012, for C5 cap escalations. I have half a mind to try blitzing DED sites with the Panthers when nothing's going on. They're not Sins but they have the 125 bandwidth for sentries.

You really shouldn't have to tenderize steak (unless maybe you're talking about flank steak) on another note, I'm thinking space truckers must all be loving insane. I'm about 8 jumps into a 26 jump route in a 2 AU/s battleship and I'm ready to start punching myself in the balls. Do people actually have the patience to two box a freighter and a web alt for hours on end doing nothing more than align > web > jump ad nauseum?

Jazzzzz posted:You really shouldn't have to tenderize steak (unless maybe you're talking about flank steak) According to my grandmother, sometimes Korean restaurants will use kiwi to soften tough, lower grade meat. So I was just curious, I mean I forget the going rates for beef, but if you could take a cheap cut and turn it into something incredibly melty tender for the price of a kiwi Just curious.

I've already taken one noob under my wing, getting him to polish off the Gallente career missions before he can start on learning how to rat, how to mine, do PI, survive, evade, all the skills a noob needs to scale the learning cliff. If CCP doesn't introduce more learning-type missions beyond the careers and opportunities, that responsibility will fall into the hands of player corps. You mean like it has been for 13 years? Introduce skill point losses to all capital and larger skills. Perhaps 20% of a skill level's SP is lost upon death, rather than a whole skill point level, just because the training time compared to T3 subsystems i much longer and then introduce a skill point harvest system for the killer where 90% is distributed, and the other 10% is burned. So somebody getting popped in a Naglfar who has Minmatar Dreadnought V goes down to 4.8, the killers then get 0.18 of the SP divided amongst them. gently caress caps, is what I'm saying.
