I swore off buying a Nexus at pre-order because of the shitshow last year with shipments getting all hosed out of sequence on the Nexus 6 (day one orders getting shipped after people that ordered weeks later). I imagine much of the same this time round, too.

It was the later patches that were delayed. Let's face it, Lollipop was a clusterfuck of ultimate proportions. Google didn't have a real functional release of Lollipop until 5.1.1 came out. Moto pushed to get their unbranded X updated early and it burned them hard due to Google's lovely code. So, not only did they have to go back and fix the X, they had to update the rest of their carrier branded phones with the timelines they offered but with constantly shifting code from google. It created a ton of extra work and ill will. One would hope that Marshmallow will be smoother since it's polish on Lollipop rather than a huge refactoring. The fact that Moto isn't doing any carrier branded devices other than the two Droid phones should also help things since they don't have to juggle separate release and certification cycles for each carrier.

Friend of mine had trouble with this, and the TSA guy grabbed her finder, wiped on his own greasy forehead, then printed it successfully
