I read LPs of Dangan Ronpa 1 and 2, along with 999. I'm not opposed to VNs, just the waifu ones. Amnesia was givn away for free, which is why I asked about it.

Speaking of, is Oreshika worth my time? It's either that, Vagrant Story, or Suikoden.

Of the three, I'd put Suikoden ahead of Oreshika, but Oreshika isn't a bad game in my view. Never played Vagrant Story so I'm not qualified to answer on that.

Apparently the Steam thread thinks that's a pretty good match three game, ignoring the cartoon porn, but I legit don't know how any match three game can significantly differ from another

It's not a very good match three game, and also it contains the line 'ive got a yellow fever so bad it's more like a yellow plague' said as a character is staring directly at an asian woman, to her face

My favorite part of HuniePop is how the big "just for this girl" presents are like all kinda racist as poo poo (ie giving a sombrero to the Latina lady) but sometimes the Japanese teacher lady will actually call you racist for it and I laugh.

Because my VitaTV is 99% a PSX emulator to let me legally purchase overpriced old games, I've been playing Suikoden recently. It's not too hard to believe that it's been 17-20 years since I beat it last with how awful so many of sprites are, and were when it was new, but something about the game's short story and charm still draw me in. Also using a FAQ because gently caress the 108 star ending the hard way, I think I tried twice back when and did it a 3rd time with a guide even then. The superior sequel will be played eventually, but not immediately after so I can capitalize on having the fancy ending.

Still no cheap Vitas within 25 miles of me and I wasn't able to convince my friend to buy one and ship it to me last week. Not sure if he thought I was kidding or is protecting my wallet against me :negative:

They vary in quality but tend to trend towards good.

They're lighthearted JRPGs which are kind of slice-of-lifey where the focus is mainly on crafting items and equipment, where the crafting has a lot of complex mechanics and is generally fun to do.

On the Vita the ones to get are Ayesha and Escha & Logy, which are part of the Dusk trilogy. There's also the Arland trilogy which is fun but rougher than the Dusk trilogy.

Ayesha and E&L are unironically two of the best JRPGs on the Vita and absolutely worth playing.
