Curious to hear the drummer's side on this one. I bet it's something to the tune of "I've been sick for a year because we were never not on tour, so he replaced me with a hired gun".

If you wanna hear another rad 2 piece that isn't fighting, my friends Monte Luna just released their new album Drowners' Wives. You can hear some creepy guitar feedback I recorded on the end of the second song. The first song features the vocalist and guitarist, Steve Colca from a band I use to be in, Destroyer of Light. Also I'm finishing my new record that has a lot of the singer from Monte Luna on, and we're gonna combine bands for the next record.

Yeah you get a bit of that even in the singer's story: "I told him he could take a day off any time we weren't on tour... anyway during our third consecutive tour..."

Kind of sucks going to court over Telekinetic Yeti. I think something similar happened to Black Pyramid when they were just playing clubs.

As for guys who stick together, Ufomammut just played their new acoustic reimagining EP to a baffled crowd, then proceeded to destroy in an old Oslo church. I wish they’d play some more stuff from Eve and before, but you’ve gotta respect them from just pushing forward. Their new shirt design is literally just a mammoth being beamed up by an UFO.

Heh, yeah this art is for the drummer's version, or the "fake" one, or whatever people wanna call it. I just got contracted to do the illustration, I'm not privy to the drama details. I'm sure Anthony will tell his side of the story soon, my part of the deal is finished -- if the project is deemed not "legitimate" or whatever, I got a cool piece of art out of it (I usually sell prints of the work without the band's name on it of course).

Generally the music/band/personality stuff is really none of my business, I just draw purty pictures. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out though. :munch:

Weird. I’ve been wondering what Kool Keith has been up to and that’s not what I would have expected.

Every once in a while I want to go through a ton of his stuff and edit out the garbage choruses.

Here’s some overlooked old Kool Keith n friends

Also I just ordered the new Nightfell album because the first few tracks rule.

Nest of Vipers is the earliest of theirs I’m really into, but yeah, they’re all very solid. I think when they got Arvid on vocals things really came together in the best way.

“I welcome what man rejects”? That’s from the climax of Satan’s School for Girls. Good fun, kind of like a proto-Suspiria.

Correct, also fun fact there are 2 recorded versions of that song, one on the first CD, and a slower version on the split we did with Godhunter, Endsville.
