Subforum superfriends assemble! Who will be smug and condescending? Who will pay Hnasty is like the youth of london, left behind by a system that doesnt understand him, alienated, he lashes out blindly against polite society, dragging his impressionable peers heedlessly into the foray. Sigtrap is like David Cameron evicting him from his grotty council house to send a strong message to other would-be troublemakers that their behavior will not be tolerated. Neither approach fixes the underlying problems. You used to be able to take the piss and talk about motorcycles in here. Surely it'd be easier for z3n to just put everyone else on ignore, leaving him to wallow happily in uninterrupted walls of his own text, safe from the exhausted pleas for him to stop, just for a while stop and let us speak. I remember him getting a few probations for his diarrhetic verbosity when he first joined, but his sheer persistence has beaten us all down into accepting it as the norm.

Do you get any benefit from that? I would expect a car engine to actually perform worse than an equivalent motorcycle engine.

There really isnt any benefit. Aside from the aforementioned clothing snagging, its just low-revving high displacement combined with big weight. Not a great recipe for a bike. See also: http://www.bosshoss.com/

Let the jerkoff build up some steam and cut the power repeatedly while pretending to be dazed and confused. They'd almost certainly trash the bike, but they're gonna do that anyway. These people need to be drafted, sent on a massive faux invasion of the Falklands, and left there. We're going back for reinforcements, lads! Really, BRB!

A few of us in the good/wrecked/rusted thread have summoned the ghost of Joan Claybrook, which is a little scary because she isn't dead, and when she wielded power over moto world, she was sort of a cross between George Burns and Mrs. Hathaway from Beverly Hillbillies. In reading about her accomplishments, I kept seeing references to a "Backward Bike" or "Safe-Cycle" designed by NHTSA under her watch, so named because it featured front wheel drive and rear wheel steering. With no photos, I began to conclude that it was an urban legend. Then I found it: Draw your own conclusions regarding well-meaning bureaucrats and the common good, etc. Me, I might try to disprove the prevailing theory that the bike was unrideable. Then I'd distribute this in leaflet form to every anti-helmet law putz in the country with the caption "STFU and make this token concession or these people WILL turn your Dyna into a half-assed Baja rail."

For some reason the high snubbed tail fad got really huge in the world of Bandit 1200 streetfighters, and was taken to (or near) its logical extreme. Nothing says "thats a good looking bike" like also saying "was that thing in a rear-ender?"
