It was weird and gross and I don't need to see cartoon children's penises thanks Fox

where do you all stand on the episode where homer was in charge of springfield's garbage collection?

Pretty good! I think the U2 appearance makes sense as opposed to "here's some celebrities being celebrities". Steve Martin as the commissioner is good, "The Garbageman Can" is good, suitcase full of cash is good, the native Americans at the end is good. One of the very last Good Simpsons episodes.

It has a lot of the things that are seen as contributing to the decline of the show around that time, celebs, jerkass Homer, a silly ending, but drat if it isn't funny.

Even my roommate who had never seen it before was laughing her rear end off the whole time. sweet geek swag posted:I liked the spider pig joke. The problem was that it was in EVERY trailer. So by the time I saw the movie it wasn't funny anymore. I never even found Spider Pig funny. I held my nose and rented the movie from Red Box and I couldn't tell you a goddamned thing about it other than I remember Homer riding a motorcycle.

The funny thing is that Peter Porker, Spider-ham long predates spider-pig. Mind you, advertising for comedies and especially animated family movies tends to be its own worst enemy.

I remember around the time season 3 was on there were rumors that the last episode of the Simpson would show Bart's dick. That was probably just stupid kids talking poo poo though.

I thought subverting the cartoon trope of improbably covered nudity was a pretty good joke, but my enjoyment was tempered by the fact that I didn't particularly want to see Bat's dilz. The other main things I remember from the movie was Homer calling that boob lady "Boob Lady" and that the audience absolutely loved that lovely "rock and a hard place" joke. At this point they wouldn't dare add a new recurring character because it would break the rut they're clearly in.

Iron Crowned posted:It doesn't even phase me, I've seen so many worse things There's nothing particularly bad about the image, it's just an unambiguously adult cartoon character drawn to be a voluptuous woman. The real question is who is actually turned on by this, especially next to pictures of actual women, especially in an era of freely available hardcore porn when Playboy was already becoming tepid and irrelevant. Why does it exist
