Not knowing their names is just a symptom of that bigger issue.

I also dropped off the poke-train in the 90s and had no attachment to any of these but I really enjoyed the first snap's "puzzle" design and this iterates on that and adds a bunch of cool depth so I really enjoyed talking a picture of the ice cream cone thing even if I didn't realize there was an ice cream cone Pokemon. Every new human in the game sucks so much rear end they even made Todd seem kinda lame though

Yeah, I didn’t get sword/shield cause the forced exp share and no GTS at launch were things that would make the game much less fun, but the most fun part of the games is bumping into a new Pokémon or even just one you forgot existed and catching them, so that seems like it would make New Snap even better if you didn’t know there was a railgun stag beetle or karate panda now.

I still think Star Fox Assault was unfairly dismissed. If it weren't for the ground missions it'd be a pretty good sequel. Really I just want a Star Fox game with more than a couple of hours of content (no not that one).

Finished the story for New Pokemon Snap, although I still have a lot of side content to do. Picked up Bravely Default II now, and I am still really excited for SMT Nocturne HD on Switch.

Direct sequels to Star Fox 64 that play exactly like that game, is all I really want. But Nintendo must have put in the marketing research and determined that not enough people would buy and play a game like that in console generations after N64. A remaster of Star Fox 64 would be really nice to have too, I still to this day play the game on my N64.
