That Spawn trailer is legit awesome. Teagone successfully made loving Spawn look like a legitimately good movie, as opposed to a funny little piece of 90s kitsch.

I guess it's time to mention Teagone's modernized Last Starfighter trailer, which is also aces. Teagone how have you not gotten picked up yet? You miss all the calls while you're playing OverWatch or something?

Thanks guys I saw sometime yesterday that my Spawn trailer got picked up by a couple blogs; think Cinemablend and Comicbook.com were the first ones to do a write up featuring it. Then a handful of others followed and my twitter notifications were blowing up my phone today while at work. It feels pretty awesome seeing everyone enjoying it.Megaman's Jockstrap posted:Teagone how have you not gotten picked up yet? You miss all the calls while you're playing OverWatch or something? Haha, I've actually gotten a couple offers for small one-off gigs. I took one up a year and a half ago after being approached by a producer from Caliber Media. I ended up making the trailer for Hot starring Steven Strait (dude from The Expanse). The experience was alright, but not being able to used licensed music and whatnot was really prohibiting for me to make it how I envisioned. The producer and director weren't willing to drop the extra money to pay for a Zack Hemsey track I made a rough cut with, haha. teagone fucked around with this message at 00:24 on Sep 20, 2016 |

You're taking the fun out of it though. Restrictions make art so much more interesting.

At 114 million views in 24 hours, this trailer has (erotically) beaten the record held by The Force Awakens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OItKvc13gws

Here's the trailer for Hot I made that's on the director's YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Wsyp2XPQ4 They used the hiring of me as part of their press release for the film which I thought was cool. It was featured in articles on various blogs. Here it is on Dread Central: http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/155804/post-apocalyptic-satire-hot-launches-exclusively-vhx-platform/ and on Bloody Disgusting: http://bloody-disgusting.com/villainsmash/2016/03/12/streaming-service-vhx-turns-up-the-heat-with-hot/ teagone fucked around with this message at 01:21 on Sep 20, 2016 |

I'm assuming this is a romantic comedy remake of Sunshine that also keeps the slasher twist at the end.

It looks like it's that space movie that Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones were attached to about 10 years ago, where they smoke in space through the use of the whatever device.

I remember reading the script for that like 10 years ago. It's weird that they're kind of burying the big dramatic hook to play up the action. Although, maybe not that weird.

So are they (or just one) robots? Or is the whole ship just one big hosed up experiment like the Vaults in Fallout? Anyways, Michael Sheen as a robot bartender should be good.

kiimo posted:Reminds me of about five other scifi movies. Exactly. I've come to accept the fact that sci-fi movies that involve traveling in a (large) spaceship are my weak spot. War in space? Peace in space? Love in space? Crime in space? Sun zombies in space? I'm in, all the way. Also, Laurence Fishburne? Nice. I've been waiting for Event Horizon 2. And now it features Jennifer Lawrence. That's worth the wait. "Where we're going, we don't need mops to mop." Jack's Flow fucked around with this message at 05:43 on Sep 21, 2016 |

I think I read somewhere, and this might be a huge spoiler or I heard wrong, but Only Chris Pratt was forced out of hibernation early, and Jennifer Lawrence was forced to wake up by him due to loneliness.

Wiki says it was originally a 35 million budget starring Keanu Reeves and Reese Witherspoon. Now Lawrence and Pratt are getting that alone.

So, the weird thing about those trailers is that most of them (with the exception of the Beat Takeshi one) aired on TV last night during the Mr Robot finale, except they were slightly different. In that they didn't actually have the thing at the end saying they were for Ghost in the Shell. So when that first one with the Geishabot aired it was a real WTF moment.

Posting the original on this page for easy comparison https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLXbk2IN3Og teagone's is way better But also seriously Scarlett Johansson just looks way out of place in this movie. Another white girl might have done a better job but seems like they're running serious Japanese themes so it just looks whitewashed as gently caress. Talking as somebody who hasn't watched the original movie and didn't think this was that big a deal when it all kicked off.
