Yeah. Even after all this time, it can be amazing how rude folks can be over coffee. I've been called a motherfucker several times for not having decaffeinated coffee available, and one time a lady got into a shouting match over it.

All this amazing fresh seafood like multiple kinds of crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, fish filets, scallops, etc. People are freaked out by fish for some reason. My mother's like that. DC Murderverse posted:As I further continue my John Carpenter watching, I really think his movies, more than most I've watched, would lend themselves incredibly well to modern day video games. Imagine a They Live game made by the Saint's Row guys, or Assault on Precinct 13 as an asymmetrical multiplayer game. I'm not sure what about his movies in particular makes me think this, but it's probably the worlds that he creates and the action. Assault on Precinct 13 was one of the major inspirations for Resident Evil 2, if I'm remembering right.

I haven't eaten chain fast food for years and I'm just fine with that. It's ducking gross and it's not real food. When I worked at my previous job there was an Indian place that did a takeaway box for £3.50 which was delicious and proper food

Dominos absolutely dominates the market over here. One of their places in Reykjavik is apparently in the top 10 for most sales worldwide. Which is pretty crazy considering only about 200 thousand people live in Reykjavik and they have more than a dozen other branches in the area so it's not like it's a case of it being the only one.

The people who get in a loving uproar over a gay character are the same ones who have no problem with children watching stuff that's violent. It's OK to show someone's head exploding, but we can't even infer that a guy likes other men. Besides, the people the film is actually marketed to don't give a poo poo. Anything that's "for the children" is really for hyper-sensitive adults that feel threatened when anything outside their narrow world view approaches visibility.

Hardee's was the only good fast food when I was living in the midwest. Their curly fry game is on point, and the made-to-order tenders are legit. They had a pulled pork burger for a minute that was the poo poo. They've got some heinous kill-you stuff on their menu though, like the sourdough grilled cheese burger that just oozes mayo. There was also Taco John's, which is vile (and exists almost exclusively on military bases for a reason). They put their ground beef in a food processor to give it a smooth texture. They did have one dope item though, which was a burrito with tater tots, nacho cheese, and popcorn chicken in it. If you're gonna call yourself Taco John, go for the gusto.
