I'll be happy with the small Group B Quattro kit that should be coming out next week.

Some of the cleverness in this kit is just amazing. Got through the first 2 bags last night.

Really good build, tons of details done in neat ways. Mother in law got me the beetle (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IFXVTDU) when I got sick two months ago but it's 1000 miles away and I haven't built it yet. We're running out of surface area to display them but LEGO has been putting out some really good kits. I setup an eBay alert a few months after the $300 Porsche kit came out and got it for less than half price, will continue to do that for the real expensive ones.

Is it common for a lender to sell your mortgage after one year? One year of no missed payments and excellent credit on our end?

Yes. Ours got sold after 2 months then again after 6-8 more. Maybe once another couple years after that.

It's very common. I never made a single payment to the bank that did mine, seemed like they made the money on the fees and then cashed out. Got sold again 2 years later.

The last hour of work before a vacation is the worst. I'm leaving to pick up my daughter and then head to the airport in like 38 minutes. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Same. One week after we bought it then again after 3-4 years.

It's this. They used to call it collateralized debt obligations (CDOs and further CDO^2s). This is what led to the housing crash in 2008. They changed the name to bespoke tranche opportunities and went right back to doing it again.

Oh man, welcome to the jungle 2010's hell economy, not only did my poo poo get bundled and sold, but they appraised my house "remotely" (I e. They looked at nearby property values and GISd my house) thought 2008 was aberrant? Just wait! My mortgage is so firmly inside my income that they would have to be drooling morons to reject me, and I could fire-bomb my actual house and barely see a dip in property value, 'cause poo poo house, wonderful property.

I flew out to Lake Tahoe to meet an old friend of mine for a snowboarding trip today, he's using it as an excuse to see his aunt and uncle, so I bummed around and watched him go sledding with his adorable shrieking daughter all day, then got fed a huge batch of pasta and drank wine and played euchre all evening, tomorrow will see 8 straight hours of crushing beers and trails on a board. Good loving times.

In AI news, a 6'4" 250lb dude, my buddy, his pregnant wife, three snowboards, and a toddler in a car seat did NOT make for a comfortable 2 hour ride from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe in a Civic SI. Step one was removing the bindings from all boards in the loading lane of the airport while people glared at us.

Leaving on vacation in 2 hours!

We sat down and went over all our finances today. With the furnace and other odds & ends we put into the house this year we're sitting at about $6K in non house debts that we want to pay off before I get a new car. Looking pretty good on that, if I can max OT in jan and feb I might be able to do this right in time for my birthday in Feb.

From the airport to the city line was awful. We crossed into Perdido or whatever it's called and it was night and day. We're a few miles from Gulf Shores getting lunch and it's much nicer but still a little trailer parky.

Well like any city there are bad parts. Why did you go to Pensacola anyway? There are better and warmer beaches further south.

And yeah trailer parks are a thing in Florida :v:

Popped the hood. The same fuel line I replaced about 6-8 weeks ago was pissing. My dumbass reused one of the hose clamps.....

Wow that's poo poo. I once had a really awesome AAA tow-truck guy take me and my busted truck 120 miles from Bumblefuck, Georgia, to Atlanta in the middle of the night on their standard service. My coverage was for 100 miles, but he went above and beyond and saved my vacation that year.
