This is really sad to me. I listened to an interview with Holmes when she was in the phase where she was "excited to see if they can do it", before they started claiming the test worked. She seemed like she really cared about making a cheap available blood test. I imagine the spiral of pressure and promises that got her to this point. It's so lovely because if she'd maintained objectivity the research would still be going and maybe we'd be getting closer to something that actually works.
