There is a great collection of demos that is easy to find on download sites called The Complete 1982 Demos, that has songs that ended up on My War and Slip It In. It was a killer lineup that never appeared all together on a real release (Rollins, Ginn, Dez Cadena, Chuck Dukowski, Chuck Biscuits). That demo collection was my intro to the band, it kicks rear end, I like it more than any of their actual albums.

Maybe not, but the Hell's Angels were there for the rolling Stones back in the day.

I think just not a covers record or a collaboration.
They just have such a crushing, nasty sound that no one else matches.

I keep going back to that Tar Pond LP recently - Martin Ain from Celtic Frost and other dudes doing very crushing doom. Think it’s only available on streaming services and vinyl.

I really like Mike IX. I saw EHG here in Boston a few years ago and during stage banter he'd list off his favorite old school/obscure Boston punk and hardcore bands. It was cool he really knew his stuff and shouted out our city. Maybe I'm just a big EHG fan but nobody can say Mike IX doesnt know his stuff about hardcore/punk history.

Holy poo poo, this Sepulcros album is good stuff. Death/doom fans, put this on your calendar (and if you like it more death-skewed, don't worry, the rest of the album delivers on that as well).
