I heard some song on classic rock radio a few days back and need to find it. It sounds a bit like Scorpions and has a really cool synth solo/break in it out of nowhere. The lyrics in the chorus are something like "i want to love you" I think.

I've been trying to figure out the name of the song in the 'land of chocolate' sequence from the Simpsons for years. Unfortuneately, I don't even know where to start looking without the composer's name, title, or knowing what type of genre it would clissify as. At best, I would call it 50's educational film strip music, but that's not really much to go on. Can any goons help me? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Q6Ui0-cnI the song stars at about 0:38 Johnny Future fucked around with this message at 03:42 on Mar 12, 2008 |

Thank's a lot! You managed to find out more about that song in a few minutes than I was able to in years. Too bad that it was just a one-off song though. I was hoping to track down a whole CD of similar music by the same composer. Oh well.

So occasionally I'll hear a song I really like on The End that is basically a big list of people that the singer knew and how they died. Kinda like "Pepper" by the Butthole Surfers. It'd be great to know who did it and what's it's called.

I heard a song on the radio today and now I can't remember the full title or the band. The station was Sirius Buzzsaw and they play classic hard rock, basically Hendrix, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc. The band who performed this song falls into this category, and I remember this particular song sounded a bit more artistic and slow-paced, a bit like Rush or even Dream Theater. Also, the DJ had said the lead singer was dead. The title of the song included the word "sun" among a few other words, although that may not be too helpful. Hopefully with these clues someone may know what song and band I'm talking about.Agitate! There's this song I heard while at work. They play almost only stuff that has come out in the past few months. Kind of like a chill electronic beat, that wouldn't be out of place next to Daft Punk's "Voyager". The lyrics were along the lines of "hold on, hold tight, hold on, hold tight." I think. At first I thought it was Hot Chip because I was digging their "Ready for the Floor" song kind of mixed up with this one with the chorus. It's not "Hold On" from the same Hot Chip album. It might possibly even be a girl that sings it instead. I really doubt it is something from any longer than 5 months ago.

I heard this band on some random person's iPod at a party, but I wasn't able to find out who the band was. I'm sorry I dont have much to go on. It's a current band. Their music was punk influenced rock, with some seasonings of metal and hardcore to spice up some break downs. The most distinctive thing I know is that the singer Sounds Exactly like Steve, the son from American Dad. When steve yells. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Smith_%28American_Dad%29 Which also sounds like the good singer from dance gavin dance when he really going for it. Not the lovely singer the just yells all garbbly like he bit his tonge in half. http://www.myspace.com/dancegavindance Any help would be greatly aprieciated, cause "Singer sounds like steve from american dad" is not working out on google.

I actually found this song in another thread a few months ago but have no idea which one; maybe it was about relaxing songs or something. I'm guessing it's an indie band and the song is pretty long like maybe 8 minutes or so. No vocals just nice relaxing instrumentals that sound a lot like the song played at the end of the movie The Kingdom: http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/B000VDDBVG001013/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_013 If it helps at all the youtube video is the band playing live and there's a red curtain behind them. I really hope this song is real otherwise I'm having a breakdown. It sounds like a pop record from the beginning of the pop era (pre-Beatles). Female singer. There's a portion of the lyrics (chorus I think) that goes "[something something something] a monday, a monday, a monday [something something] on a [something]". I think the song goes through all the weekdays. That's all I know. Any biters? Edit: Found it myself using some google-fu. It's called "Never On A Sunday" by Petula Clark and it's loving batshit unsettling. Nigel Tufnel fucked around with this message at 17:41 on Mar 17, 2008 |

Ok this might be a little tough since I don't remember it all to well, it's what i think is an Infected Mushroom song: right off it starts off with a heavy bass that sounds very similar to a frog. Like the sounds of how its little throat bubble. I'm 100% positive it's one of their older tracks, I'm guessing no earlier than 5 years.

Ok, there is this song that I took part in singing in High School and can't remember any lyrics to whatsoever, even though it very well could be some classic amazing song everyone in the world knows but me. I tried songtapper and that didn't work, so my last resort is making a very crude version of the part I remember. I know the first bit, it's the verse before the chorus kicks in. http://www.sendspace.com/file/lpu0dd Anyways, the high pitched parts are "ooh-ooh-oohs" if I recall correctly, and the lower parts are parts with actual lyrics. When it gets to the last bit with lyrics it gets noticeably louder and becomes more aggressive but I don't remember what they are saying so it's impossible to look up. I suspect and hope this is an easy one because it's bugged me for a while. FYI: I realize the first bit sounds kinda like the first line from the song in Willy Wonka "The Candyman" but that's not it, that's something I noticed while making it and thought was amusing.
