The only change might be that they allow you to use an analog stick. This helped the DS version a lot on the 3DS so maybe it'll sit better.

The 3ds just translated your analog stick into digital 8 directional movement, there isn't actually analog support.

Yeah but it still feels a wee bit better to physically play that way.

Small motions and changes in direction can be annoying on SM64 DS but for the most part I thought the controls worked pretty well, enough that I got all the stars.

You can only use the game pad to control games that supported the classic controller. SMG didn't, so you need a Wiimote. You can use the pad as a screen though because it has a built in sensor bar.

I am going to buy the gently caress out of Mario Galaxy so I never have to pop that disc in again. I haven't even unlocked Luigi yet and I need that sweet 100%. It is some of the most satisfying platforming I have ever played and I hear the sequel is better and I can't play it until the first is destroyed.

They play exactly the same so it's up to whether you want the convenience of always having it on you, 3D and StreetPass Battle Arena or you want Miiverse messages on every screen and I think a multiplayer option coming very soon? 3DS suited me better, but I got them both and beat it twice.

If you play with 3D on, I think definitely on 3DS. It looks and sounds absolutely great and i overall prefer 3DS hardware to anything else for 2D games. Otherwise the Wii U version is going to be the only one that gets a coop mode, if that's important to you. I believe both use the second screen to quick switch items.

It looks entrain odessy 4 is on sale for $10 in the US. It is probably the best entry to the series. All the classes are so balanced that you can't make a terrible team. Though some classes are better than others. And they streamlined some of the more annoying features like gather spots. And they leave some of the more annoying gimmicks in optional side dungeons.

Overall still a difficult altus games but a lot more fair than other games of the series.

Very good, but very different between the two. The Korg DSN-12 is my personal favorite, and it acts like a decent small analog synth that you can carry around anywhere. It's got two oscillators and an LFO, so you can patch some really interesting sounds with it and the sequencing is good, but the copy/paste function is super frustrating, because it only copies some information, so if you're trying to build a song, prepare to have different sections sound totally different when repeated. It's still super fun and I highly recommend it. It's fun for creating sounds and building songs.

The MO1D is more like a portable digital synth and it works well for sequencing. It comes with some pretty good pre-programmed voices and you can create whatever voices you desire. The interface doesn't quite click like it does with the DSN-12, and the lack of MIDI support makes it feel a little more like a toy than I'd like it to, but it's an inexpensive synth app for a video game system, so I'm not sure that can count as a true blue complaint. Both are very good. But if you pick one, I'd say the DSN-12 feels more like a full fledged music/sound creation tool and is just more fun and exciting to use.

The fan service was like, maybe half of the appeal for me. That got old real quick, though... Seemed like all of the dialogue outside of the two new characters were nonstop references to P3/P4.

The gameplay itself I got into, and maybe it was the fact that I poopsocked the game and beat it in just a few weeks, but the map drawing had become tedious and unfun in the last level or two.

I'll bite on EO4 if it's one of the best ones, I've spent more on bigger gambles I guess!
