Netflix should pick up Utopia.

Toxx should watch and review Utopia.
That series made me sad because it started so amazingly strong and then went to garbage by the second season. I didn't watch Lost, but I imagine the feeling there was the same- they started with a great premise, but by the end of it you can just tell they have no idea where they're going and it basically turns into a non-ironic version of this video. Real shame too.

I hope Brookers involvement means they aren't just gonna re-shoot the episodes they've already made. At least 5/7 of the episodes are pretty much perfect.

The staples of Christmas are:

Chimes of Midnight
The Snowman
The Gruffalo (The Gruffalo's Child is also acceptable)
That year's Who special
Someone dying or being assaulted in Eastenders (no one actually watches this)

This is now my canon since it means I won't have to watch The Muppet Christmas Carol.

Do you synch it up so that midnight in the TV Movie happens at midnight in RL?

It’s a huge holiday tradition for my wife and stepdaughter, but when I watched it last year…eh. I just couldn’t get into it at all, and this is from someone who actually enjoys the Muppets. It doesn’t crack my top five best Christmas movies.

1. Die Hard
2. The Ref
3. Black Christmas (1974)
4. Bad Santa
5. The Nightmare Before Christmas

(and this isn’t counting my yearly re-listen of The Chimes of Midnight on the long drive through the Virginia backcountry to my parents’ house)

With my family the choice tends to break down between either Muppets Christmas Carol or Love Actually. So even if I didn't like Muppets the answer would be obvious.

It has considerably more Bill Nighy than most movies ever made, so isn't the problem really all those other movies?

I'm gonna write my review for Series Eight sometime this week, I've been busy with work (and also watching anime, the most despicable of all possible reasons to not be working)

But yeah I'll do my Series Eight in review soon and the only reason I haven't was tiredness and laziness
