it may not be as good as the nikon that's literally three times the price, but that is a nice fuckin' camera

i have a friend who has won oodles of national photo competitions and sells to nat geo and a bunch of other natural history magazines and he primarily shoots with a 7d

d3s is for sports photography because of the high fps which is similar to the 1d4

and screw anyone who says 'x camera is poo poo', sure it will be nicer to use something more expensive like this with 1.5GB of ram on it but it wont necessary make your photo better

alright POS, this thing has been hanging round our building since late summer/autumn last year, we figured it was a neighbours, a feral or a farmcat. i got talking to the guy who runs the ironworks up back and he says it just turned up one day and has been living in the bow of an old boat in his yard. now, the other day it came up to me so i petted the catte as per regulations, it followed me to my door so i gave it some milk. now it won't go away.

i let the cat sleep in the hall the last couple of nights cos of the bad weather. it's well friendly and uses a litterbox so it's either a runaway or someone's dumped it. it's not chipped but it's been neutered and the vet says it's not got rabies or plague or anyhting. the fuckin thing purrs if you so much as look at it, if you hold your hand out it'll stroke itself and if you sit down it wants to sit on your head.

don't know what we're going to do with it, figure we'll just keep it fed and take it in on bad nights. we got a bird so it can't really stay in the house, we thought we'd stick a flap on a shed or something. shelters aren't interested, they got too many already.

TLDR: stray/lost catte thinks i'm it's mum just because i patted it.

the bird gets all round the house and likes to ride around on the humans so it's not fair to lock it in it's cage in the back room. besides it would scream the feckin building down until everything was back to normal.
we ordered an insulated cat house so it's got somewhere else warm to go during the day when we're not in. think if it knows it can come in the house in the evenings and is getting fed it should be happy enough. it's seen a couple of months of snow and mental weather up here but it's still quite a big chunky thing, it seems to know what it's doing outside. we're out in the country too so there's no proper road or anyone who'll hurt it nearby.

no idea why it's suddenly decided it lives with me after all this time. i even told it _{i don't really like cats all that much} but the cat seems to think this is just because i've not had one sitting on me and following me around and watching everything i'm doing intently enough.
