Basically, if there is one lesson you must learn in life, it's that "The Man They Call Vader, the man who feels no pain, LIVES the gimmick".

The best part of this was that the eye was totally fine afterwards. They had to put a metal plate in his ocular bone or something to keep it in, but he can still see out of that side just fine, it wasn't affected by being punched out of his head by Stan Hansen.

I seem to remember reading that he started getting severe issues in it... Like, fifteen loving years down the road. Vader is barely human.

I vaguely remember him mentioning he lost a bit of peripheral vision directly afterward, but he was told to put a patch on it for a few weeks after the plate was put in, like how you fix a lazy eye in children, and it came back fine. So yeah, Vader is a legit badass.

Well it's Christmas, and I'm stuck in Dallas a thousand miles away from my friends and family. It's me, my pug, and my ChromeCast. I thought I would treat myself to an ROH ringside membership as a little Christmas present to me from me. What are some good shows to check out?

does ringside give you all the shows on VOD? that's pretty cool if true. imo roh doesn't get better than the czw feud and there's some killer shows right at the beginning (tag wars, arena warfare). 2006 was a really cool year. but i was also 15

The sheer amount of heat Danielson got when he showed up in CZW is amazing.

Al Snow has had a number of good matches, but by the Official Al Snow Match Rating System none of them ever drew money, so they all suck.

It's one of those matches that is pretty decent now but probably blew some minds when it first aired. Like a lot of ECW stuff that isn't Americanized Lucha, it aged poorly.

I can't seem to find it on youtube, but I've always been partial to the Hardcore Evening Gown Match vs. Droz. Both of them seem to be having a lot of fun, and Droz made sure his seams were straight on his stockings.

Where do I start with Giant Baba? The only match I've ever seen of his is the infamous Raja Lion match. I'm guessing/hoping that's not the best display of Baba's skill.

Baba vs. Destroyer from 1969. There's also an early match with Fritz Von Erich that I thought was really cool, mostly because of Fritz, though.

I can't gush about Liger/Owen enough. I mean, it's just so crazy ahead of it's time. Guys like Punk and Daniel owe so much to Liger's style, then you watch that match with Owen and remember that at the same time, that year's Mania was Hogan vs Slaughter.
